This is a totally new thing for me - Building banjos. one of my customers sent me an email which said, "Wanna build a banjo?" My response was, "Sure - let me look into what it'll take to do it!"

The rim for the customer's banjo was made by Mark Hickler of Hickler Banjos:

The rim is made from curly maple. The next two pictures are of the two banjos after the necks were rough-cut and mounted to their rims:
