Cyr Guitars had a booth at the Father's Day Bluegrass Festival in Grass Valley CA June 14-17, 2007. Michael Lewis organizes a Luthier's Pavilion there every year, and this is the second year we've been there. There were about a dozen luthiers showing their instruments and doing instrument repairs for four days.

The 12-string electic and four of the acoustics at the Cyr Guitars booth:

The SN #1 Dreadnaught with the electric upright against the wall. The electric upgright sat against the wall for the first two days of the festival pretty much unnoticed until I moved it out in front of the table on Saturday morning. It seemed like people were playing it constantly from then on. A guy named Wes kept coming back to look at it again and again.

The electric upright bass again:

David Dart was in the booth to my right. He had several beautiful mandolins and a Weisenborn guitar that had absolutely wonderful tone:

Roger Siminoff was in the booth the other side of David dart, with mostly mandolin and banjo parts. He also has a series of books on instrument construction, and he offers mandolin kits as well:

The next booth over from Roger Siminoff was Bill Laird's. He makes mandolins mostly, and he lives in Central Nevada:

Another one of Bill's projects: a redwood-top mandola:

Joe Dragony working on a guitar setup:

A shot of the Cyr Guitars table with the electrics on display. I tried to rotate the instruments so people could see everything:

The 5-string bass and the Model T:

The Model S guitar and the Model J bass:

The Hendricks Banjos booth:

Showing the back of a Hendricks banjo to a customer:

Ron Cole with his mandolins. Ron came all the way down from Idaho to show the mandolins, and it seemed like there was a jam session going on most all the time in his booth:

Gary Garcia showed his guitars - three or four dreadnaughts, and a couple of others. Gary has a 1200 sq ft workshop in Carmichael, and the detail and finish on his instruments is superb:
