Banjos Anyone?

One of my bass customers asked me if I wanted to build him a banjo, so I agreed to do one for him - a plectrum banjo in this case, with a rim made by Mark Hickler in Tempe AZ. Anyone else interested? Here are a couple of pictures of the walnut prototype I'm building:

The customer's banjo will have a curly maple rim and mahogany neck, while this one has a claro walnut rim and black walnut neck.

Cyr Custom Guitars is a dealer for the following fine products:

    • K & K Sound - makers of pickup systems and preamplifiers for use with guitars and other acoustic instruments
    • DR Strings - makers of strings for acoustic and electric guitars and basses
