available from Cyr
Custom Guitars. All
instruments are built by Steve Cyr, our guitar builder, and they
range from basic instruments built from combinations of new and
used parts to hand crafted and hand-finished instruments made
from exotic woods.

This product line includes
any instrument designs that are based on well-known instruments
such as:
- Fender, including Stratocaster,
Telecaster, Jazzmaster, Jazz Bass, and Precision Bass.
- Gibson, including Les Paul
and SG models
This category also includes
any custom designs we develop with the customer. We can do custom
body shapes and neck designs, exotic woods--anything you want! |

This is our newest product
- an electric upright bass that has the look and feel of a traditional
upright bass without the size and bulkiness. These basses feature:
- Traditional styling
- The neck, fingerboard, and
bridge have the look and feel of an upright bass
- Electronics include K&
Sound pickup systems and Bartolini preamps
- The neck can be removed for
transport and storage
- The bass comes with its own
custom-built storage case
The customer can also select
woods and electronics options, and the design allows some flexibility
in body, neck, and headstock shapes and profiles |

In January 2005 Cyr Guitars
began work on its first acoustic instruments--a dreadnaught 6-string
guitar and a 4-string acoustic bass guitar. Both are complete
now, and Cyr Guitars is adding acoustic intruments to its product
line. These will be custom built-to-order instruments, and the
following models are planned:
- The dreadnaught will be available
in 6 and 12 string versions
- The acoustic bass guitar will
be avaulable in 4 and 5 string versions
- A jumbo cutaway model will
be available in 6 and 12-string versions
Options will include neck,
top, back, and side woods, bindings and purflings, soundhole
rosettes, electronics, and hardware. |

This product line includes
any instrument that uses the Oakhurst body and headstock shapes
developed by Cyr Guitars last year. Examples are shown at the
right. Among the major options:
- Exotic woods can be used in
the bodies and neck
- The instrument can be neck-thru
or have a bold-on neck
- The combinations of pickups
and electronics are endless--anything you like!
