On July 23rd, 2003, SMCTek finished

When I approached
SMCTek, having my own custom guitar was not my first interest.
However, I was looking for a guitar that was different than what
others were playing. After playing many years on various Fender
models, I thought it was time to play something different and
unique. As I talked more to Steve (SMCTek owner), he asked me
if I was interested in trying out his new line of guitars. To
make a long story short, we eventually agreed to have my own
personal custom guitar built, and that I would endorse SMCTek
guitars.
The rest (as
they say) is history

Series 777 Guitar, June 2003
Finish and
Looks:This guitar looks sharp! It has a wet natural look that
definitely is eye catchy. With a smooth V-maple neck, chrome
hardware, and simulated black anodized aluminum pickguard, this
guitar is an eye catcher. The quality, build, and sound of the
Phuzaxeman 777 Series guitar SMCTek has custom built for me definitely
exceeds many of your standard big name guitars you see at your
local music store. You don't need to be a "rock star"
to own your own personalized guitar. You can order your own axe
right here at SMCTek!
Play and Sound:
First off, it's a loud guitar. The Custom Seymour Duncan distortion
humbucker and Fender twin noiseless pickups give it a a raw overdriven
edge you don't get on most Fender Strat guitars. In contrast,
the alder body, maple neck, and Fender pickups setup provide
warm clean tones with excellent sustain.
I'm proud
to endorse and play SMCTek Guitars. SMCTek was able to build
an excellent guitar that fit my needs in both studio and live
settings. Nothing is better than having a custom designed guitar.

Series II Guitar, May 2006
The PII is
a versatile guitar in that it has a great overdriven/distortion
tone when played to rock, and a sweet clean sound characteristic
of a warm body strat for full on chords. This guitar was made
to solo with it's ultra thin birdeye neck. The action is set
low and the overall feel is very smooth. The Dimarzio pickups
(PAF Joe and FRED) add to the smooth sustain tones for solos.
This guitar
is beautiful! It has a very elegant look. The artic white ash
body, the white pickups, smooth designed neck, and killer pickup
setup make this guitar a league in its own.
